1. Who this covers

Naomi provides a phone/reception and member-care platform to churches ("Churches"). This policy applies to visitors of this website, Church staff who use the console, and Church members who use the member portal. Each Church decides what information to collect from its people and is responsible for its own use of that information; for member data, the Church is the data controller and Naomi acts as its service provider.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use information

4. Automated assistance & call handling

Naomi uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to help understand and respond to calls and messages. Where a Church enables phone answering, calls may be recorded, transcribed, and handled by an automated assistant. Where notice or consent is required by law, callers are informed at the start of the call and may ask to speak with a person. Automated output can be imperfect and is not a substitute for professional advice.

5. Sensitive information

Prayer requests and pastoral matters can be deeply personal. We treat them as sensitive: we do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and access is limited to the member's own Church staff and the systems needed to deliver the service.

6. Who we share it with

We share information with the Church you belong to, and with service providers that operate parts of the platform under contract, including:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect someone's safety. We do not sell your information.

7. Retention

We keep information for as long as your Church maintains its account and as needed to provide the service, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period. Encrypted backups are retained on a rolling short-term basis. A Church may request deletion of its data.

8. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by role, and datastores are not exposed to the public internet. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to issues.

9. Your choices & rights

You can update your profile, turn notifications on or off, and opt out of the daily email at any time in the app. To access, correct, or delete your information, contact your Church or us at gerrit@gerritgrundling.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

10. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13. Where a Church includes minors, the Church is responsible for obtaining any parental consent required by law.

Not an emergency service. Naomi is not monitored 24/7 and must not be used to report emergencies. If someone is in danger or crisis, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
